Wedding catering: a typical must-have because everyone loves food (we dare you to find someone who disagrees!). We’ve seen our fair share of wedding food and we’ve collected some of our new favorite ideas that aren’t overdone/overused/overseen. What’s great about adding some flare to your wedding food is that you’ve already budgeted for food and have the opportunity to replace the traditional items for something new and interesting.
Ah – America’s favorite sugary, wheel shaped food. Switch out the traditional dessert table for the chic and tasty donut wall. Customize it to your liking. We’ve got “a ‘hole lotta love” for this trend and we’re hoping it sticks around!
We’ll always love you champagne, but we’re looking try something new… And this sangria bar looks like it’ll hit the spot. Mix and match your favorite add-ins (we recommend oranges, lemons, limes, and strawberries for the essentials). Have sangria already made and allow guests to customize their glass with more fruit. It’s interactive, beautiful, and a crowd fave. Also, we’re partial to any type of mulled wine 😉
Salty Late Night Popcorn
Popcorn is an inexpensive but beloved treat that people will absolutely love. After drinking and partying, a salty late night snack is a nice gesture. In fact, your guests won’t even realize they wanted it. Add some flare and offer different flavors, toppings, and mix-ins. Some ideas are salt-free, buttered, and kettle corn.
Tri Tip Trolley
Food trunks are hip and fun – but what about a food trolley? We featured TIPS Tri Tip a little while back here but we thought we’d add them in here too because this is a great twist on the traditional catering gig. If you’re a meat lover, you will love TIPS menu (they have vegetarian options too!) They spend most of their time posted up at local Sonoma County events or in Kenwood, gracing patrons with delicious tri tip sandos. They can bring their beloved trolley car to your special day. psst…. Scroll down to see how to win free wedding catering from TIPS Tri Tip.
